Polypropylene |
| |
Surgik's Polypropylene suture is a monofilament, nonabsorbable, sterile, flexible thread prepared from long-chain polyolefin polymer known as polypropylene and is indicated for use in soft tissue approximation. The polypropylene surgical suture meets United States Pharmacopeia (U.S.P.) requirements as described in the U.S.P. Polypropylene suture elicits a minimal inflammatory reaction in the tissue. Unlike absorbable, and some non absorbable sutures, polypropylene is not subject to any degradation or loss of tensile strength.

Characteristics of surgik's Polypropylene sutures: |
| |
- Drill End needles for maximum strength between thread and needles
- Very Flexible
- High tensile strength
- Minimal tissue reaction
- Very smooth surface, resulting in minimal tissue trauma
- Precise knot placement
- Strength duration: life time
- Absorb duration: n/a
